The challenge
Designing a system that could handle multiple salons with unique calendars required meticulous planning and robust implementation. Preventing appointment conflicts while keeping every device in sync was critical to operational efficiency, and the interface had to stay simple for non-technical staff without losing features the busiest salons needed.

What we built
We implemented scheduling logic that resolves conflicts at booking time, integrated FullCalendar.js for the interface, and used the Twilio API for automated SMS reminders. Multi-tenant support gives each salon its own calendar, real-time updates let staff manage appointments as the day changes, and secure authentication keeps customer data protected.

The outcome
The calendar changed how salons manage bookings. Conflict-free scheduling removed double bookings, SMS reminders cut no-show rates, and 15,000 appointments were booked in the first three months across a system that scales past 100 salons.
